Charlie's Angels Meet and Greet Program - Barclays Center, Brooklyn NY

On April 17, 2013, MAIN attended the National Alopecia Areata Foundation's (NAAF) Charlie's Angels Meet and Greet Program at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, NY to meet NBA player Charlie Villanueva and see the Brooklyn Nets take on the Detriot Pistons.  Charlie signed autographs, took pictures and spoke with children and other people living with alopecia.

This Meet and Greet program has been extremely successful since it started in 2005.  NBA Player, Charlie Villanueva, has been participating in Meet & Greets with the NAAF community members at various arenas around the country before his games.  Charlie’s Angels interactions usually involve conversations, pictures, hugs, and autographs.  In fact, the success of the program was the primary reason for Charlie winning the NBA’s Community Assist Award in February of 2006.  For more information on this program please click on the NAAF logo below.

Charlie Villanueva was born in Queens, New York and plays for the Detroit Pistons.  Charlie played college basketball at the University of Connecticut and was selected 7th overall in the 2005 NBA draft by the Toronto Raptors.  Charlie has had Alopecia Universalis since age 13.  Follow Charlie on Twitter!
